Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day implementation, monitoring, and support of security solutions, including hardware, software, and customer applications.

Actively participate in security team meetings to help design and improve security systems.

Lead projects that evaluate existing security infrastructure and propose changes as necessary, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Respond to incident and system stability issues, with a commitment to availability even outside of regular hours when necessary.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, PCI, and others related to cybersecurity standards.

Work closely with architects, security operations, and other technical teams to address security incidents and ensure the stability of infrastructure.

Participate in change management processes and provide valuable input to ensure that new security changes are effectively implemented.

Develop and execute security test plans to identify vulnerabilities and ensure that enhancements do not disrupt operational functionality.

Conduct performance testing of security solutions to evaluate their effectiveness while ensuring minimal impact on business activities.

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

At least 10 years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role.

Licenses/Certifications (Preferred):

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), SANS certification, or Cisco-related certifications are a plus.

Technical Skills & Experience:

Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools such as Rapid7, Qualys, Nessus, NMAP, etc.

Familiarity with SIEM platforms and technologies.

Expertise in Network Security Management, Design, and Deployment.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2.

Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Expertise in Advanced Threat Protection tools such as Crowdstrike, Trellix, etc.

Experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), SD-WAN, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

Working knowledge of state privacy laws and compliance obligations.
