Position Overview

The Epic Security Application Architect plays a critical role in shaping the design and functionality of the Epic software platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various internal teams to improve systems, integrate new technologies, and drive meaningful change. You will play a key role in enhancing the platform’s features, ensuring security, and supporting the organization’s mission to improve healthcare services across the country.

Job Responsibilities

Platform Enhancement: Lead efforts to improve and strengthen application features and functionality, continually improving the Epic system’s performance and security.

Stay Informed on Best Practices: Leverage knowledge of new technologies and trends to recommend and implement improvements.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the system meets organizational needs.

Develop and Integrate Solutions: Lead the development of new features and custom integrations with third-party systems to improve system functionality.

Offer Expert Support: Provide guidance and troubleshooting expertise for escalated technical issues, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to find solutions.

Mentorship: Act as a mentor to other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Maintain Documentation: Ensure all changes and system processes are well-documented, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualification

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years in Application Analysis, demonstrating growth in responsibilities.

Epic Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Epic data structures and applications is essential. Epic Security certification is required, and additional certifications are a strong advantage.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with Epic APIs and integrations is highly desirable.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for explaining complex concepts clearly.

Customer-Focused: A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Epic Implementation Experience: Experience with Epic Implementations or Community Connect is a plus.

The typical salary offer for this role falls between $119,571 and $191,314, depending on experience. The salary will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, experience, and alignment with market data.
